Zoanthid Coral (Zoanthus spp.):

A colorful, fast-growing soft coral with button-like polyps. Comes in a wide range of vibrant patterns and names (“Zoas”).

Care Requirements (Short & Simple):

  • Lighting: Moderate to high

  • Flow: Moderate

  • Placement: Anywhere with stable conditions

  • Parameters: Stable (Temp: 76–80°F, Salinity: 1.025, Alkalinity: 8–12 dKH, Calcium: 400–450 ppm, Magnesium: 1250–1350 ppm)

  • Feeding: Mostly photosynthetic, but benefits from occasional coral foods

Notes:

Easy to care for and great for beginners. Can spread quickly. Handle with care—some types may release toxins (wear gloves when fragging).
