Torch Coral Frag Care Guide

• Lighting: Moderate (PAR 80–150). Avoid sudden changes in intensity.

• Flow: Moderate, gentle flow to allow tentacle movement without excessive stress.

• Placement: Mid to lower tank levels, with ample space to prevent stinging other corals.

Water Parameters

• Temperature: 75–80°F

• Salinity: 1.024–1.026

• Alkalinity: 8–12 dKH

• Nitrates: 1–10 ppm

• Phosphates: 0.01–0.05 ppm

Feeding

• Photosynthetic but benefits from occasional feeding (mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, or powdered coral food).

Maintenance

• Dip frags before introducing them to the tank. Avoid direct, strong flow that can damage tentacles.

Pests

• Watch for brown jelly disease and keep algae off the skeleton.

Torch corals are hardy but need stable water conditions, moderate flow, and space for their tentacles to extend safely!
